A few months ago I started a new addiction: artists trading cards (ATCs). Basically are cards with specific measurements that you make and trade with other people and collect them in albums. You always have to make a minimum of 2 because one is always for you –but is not common to make just 2. They have to look similar but having at least one diference –you will see it better in the pictures below. Usually people like to make and trade groups of 9, as you can fit 9 in an album’s page, but you can make more or less cards if you want. At times, you are in a group (e.g. of 9 people) and someone chooses a topic (e.g. spring, winter, christmas, mother's or father's day, etc...), so everyone in the group has to make 9 cards inspired in the topic. At times there can be more specific instructions like: “must have a piece of cloth or wood”, “ must have a brad”, “be painted with watercolors only”, etc. So, you make 9, keep one for you and send the rest. As they are so small, usually are easy to make (well, if you don't became crazy as I do, they are... xD). But the best part is when you recieve the other 8 cards from the people you are trading with, and you see how they have interpreted the same topic from their point of view and with their own styles. At the end you have a picture of what I mean: 9 ATCs made by 9 different people (mine is the one in the middle) with the topic "spring" and the specific instruction "must have a piece of wood".
Also, if you want, you can make ATCs with your own theme and specifications and try to trade them with friends or online. I'm a part of a Catalan scrapbooking Whatsapp group and we are crazy making ATCs non stop. It is funny, creative, stimulating, refreshing and we are collecting little unique pieces of art. Oh, I almost forgot! At the back of the cards you have to write specific information about you and the work (your name, blog address and date of creation) and they must be numbered (1/9, 2/9, 3/9, etc...).

Fa uns mesos vaig començar amb una nova adicció: les artist trading cards (ATCs). Basicament son targetes amb unes mides específiques (tamany cromo) que fas e intercanvies amb altre gent i que col·lecciones en albums. Sempre has de fer mínim 2 perquè una és sempre per tu (però no és habitual fer només 2) i tenen que ser iguals però tenir com a mínim una diferència (ho veuràs millor a les fotos). Normalment a la gent li agrada fer-ne 9 perquè pots posar just 9 en una plana d'àlbum, però en pots fer més o menys si vols. A vegades es fan grups de 9 persones i una d'elles escull un tema (primavera, hivern, nadal, dia de la mare o del pare, etc...), així que cadascú ha de fer 9 inspirades en el tema. A vegades també poden haver especificacions especials com: ha de tenir un troç de roba o de fusta, un brad, estar pintada amb aquarel·les, etc...). Així que fas 9, et quedes una per tu i envies les altres 8. Com que son molt petites, normalment son fàcils de fer (bé, si no és que et tornes boja com jo, ho són... xD). Però la millor part és quan reps les altres 8 i veus com altres persones han reproduit el mateix tema desde el seu punt de vista i amb els seus propis estils. Al final de l'entrada tens una foto del que vull dir: 9 ATCs fets per 9 diferents persones (la meva es la del mig) amb el tema "primavera" i amb l'especificació especial d'haver de contenir una peça de fusta.
També si vols pots fer ATC's pel teu propi compte i provar d'intercanviar-les amb amics o per internet. Formo part d'un grup de noies catalanes de whatsapp i estem bojes fent ATCs sense parar. És divertit, creatiu, estimulant, refrescant i estem col·leccionant úniques i petites peces d'art. Ui, casi se m'oblida! Al radera has d'escriure informació concreta sobre tu (nom, blog, data de creació) i han d'estar numerades (1/9, 2/9, 3/9, etc...).
